Programme Leader and Lecture Series organiser, radio and television reporter, producer, presenter and documentary filmmaker, Rachel Dungar will welcome delegates. Journalist, author, media secretary and lecturer, Simon Pia, will talk about writing op-eds.
Stijn Postema, a tech-savvy freelance journalist and academic from the Netherlands will be talking about global journalism and cross-platform freelancing skills.

Andrew Marshall, former Managing Editor of Reuters and global freelance journalist will be talking about reporting global business & finance, but also about investigative journalism, managing international news operations and journalism and activism.
Simon Pia, a freelance political pundit for Scottish and global media will provide a unique opportunity to a few selected students (first come first served) to practice their skills as political pundits live in the TV studio.
Simon (who was also Media Secretary for Scotland’s Labour Party) will talk about the murky world of spin and will provide an insider’s tips for crossing over to the dark side and engaging in crisis communications.
