We welcome students from across the world.
No matter what your previous degree is, we will support you with the skills you need.
In addition to Scottish and wider UK and EU applicants – we regularly welcome international students from Canada, the US to Australia, Mexico, Iceland, China and across the world. Additional support is provided for such international students. We value the insights and global perspective you bring.
This community of people from all parts of the world, learning together and sharing a love of publishing, enhances the learning experience for all students, and is a reflection of the internationalism of the current publishing industry.
Some students come to us straight from their first degree, and some join us from the world of work. All leave us with an enhanced skillset and lasting friendships.
The class is divided into groups, to allow as much contact time as possible.
MSc Publishing is a practical, vocational programme, and each year we publish real-life books and magazines.
“On a day off from working on Travel Light, some members of the team decided to take advantage of the rare Edinburgh sunshine and head to Portobello for the day.
Despite the sunshine, it had been snowing that morning (it is Scotland after all). But we bundled up with scarves and hats and braved the cold sea air. Amidst the kite surfers and dog walkers, we wrote in the sand and posed for photos, creating memories of our first ever publishing team.”
