This week, for our very first mini-interview, we trekked to the west coast to pay the culinary legends, The Hairy Bikers, a visit. The hirsute duo have just released their new cookbook The Food Tour of Britain which was published by Orion this week. While they were appearing at the good food show in Glasgow they took time out of their busy schedule to answer our little question and sign a copy of their book.
So, this weeks ask the author question was…
Q. What food would you love to see at an authentic Scottish themed book launch for The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner?
A. Si King: “I would say some nice haggis, but make haggis tempura, you roll the haggis in to little balls and fry them in tempura batter. Then have a cracked pepper sauce with some whiskey some pepper and some cream to dip the haggis in. It’s perfect finger food”
Dave Myers: “Have it with a wee dram, it will go down well”
