3rd years work on Impulse magazine

Edinburgh has long been and remains the centre for Publishing in Scotland, boasting a renowned association with the printing and production of books in the UK – some of the most well-respected authors, printers and publishers have begun their careers in Edinburgh, the world’s first UNESCO City of Literature. Edinburgh Napier shares this long and established association with the publishing industry – we are proud to be celebrating 40 years of Publishing education. In fact Edinburgh Napier remains one of the top providers of publishing education in the world.

As with most aspects of modern life, the programme has adapted and developed to cope with the ever-increasing demands from industry and prospective students. We now offer a one-year postgraduate publishing degree where rigorous academic study, live publishing projects, a work placement module and industry liaison all combine to ensure our students have all the skills they need to excel in the vibrant publishing industry.

Examples of student-run projects are also available on the site. These projects take the form of books and the Impulse magazine, all of which have been designed, produced and launched by Edinburgh Napier third-year students. Find out more by browsing the right-hand options or click here.
